Alexandros Ntoulas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MSc and Engineering Diploma from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of Patras University. In the past, Alexandros worked at Microsoft Research, Zynga, Samsung Reseach and LinkedIn, where he focused on developing and putting into production scalable Machine Learning models for Big Data applications such as Web spam detection, commercial search, social search, social gaming, Internet of Things, and computational advertising. He is also the co-founder of Infocious (now Piksel). He got the best paper award in ICDE 2005, the best paper runner-up award in WWW 2009, and the best applied data science reviewer award in KDD 2017. He was the program co-chair of the PAKDD 2020 conference and he currently holds 15 patents.
